Comments: The Grootendorsts are unusual in that they don't look like 'roses'. They look like little carnations. The blooms are small, and occur in profusion. Notice the crenulated edges of the petals. Nice... Lots of little frilly petaled rosettes. Very prickly. Flowers continuously. Zones 4 - 9 Very little scent. Small coarse leaves. Good health, grows to average height. Vigorous grower, needs trimming. But be careful.. ...Rugosas hate hard pruning. Look Here! More Pictures |
